Pine Furniture And Floating Wall Shelves

Pinewood shelves, while providing additional storage area brighten up the surrounding area of any room and bring in an element of style. You get them in many different styles, though floating shelves create the best visual effect. As the name suggests, floating shelves give the impression of having been suspended in air as the fixtures required for their installation are not visible to the onlookers. The fixing arrangement in their case is inbuilt in their design and not visible.

Floating shelves are made from different kinds of woods and available in very attractive and different designs. Because of their inbuilt fixtures they generally require thick wood for construction. That makes them somewhat heavy but they remain sturdy and well secured, the features one looks for while buying any shelving arrangement.

Stability of shelves is especially important if the items to be stored happen to be heavy, say like books or curios. Shelves made from pine wood may be coated in different shades or painted or varnished to go along with the existing colors of the room and thus create the desired appearance. Such coated shelves are easy to maintain and remain protected from likely damages that are caused by scratches, scrapes and the usual wear and tear.

You can keep shelves in any room of the house. They prove to be an effective accessory for increasing storage space in any room. They can effectively be installed on the walls for good use without losing any floor space. Appropriate selection and positioning surely catches the attention of visitors to your home and adds to the looks of the room in which these are installed.

Floating wall shelves are ideally used for displaying photographs, family heirlooms and curios. They need not necessarily be overloaded with heavier items lest they lose their aesthetic appeal.
